Standards for the delivery of children’s care and education services

Adopted in March 2003 and revised in February 2007 

Standard  One
Safety and Security:
Services will be delivered in an environment of safety and security of all children under our care, of all our employees, volunteers and others that are within our premises.

Standard  Two
Care and Education:
All children under our care will be provided with quality care and education. Inputs of material, personnel, effort and process shall be of the highest quality.

Standard  Three
Universality:
All children under our care are entitled to opportunities, which support their emotional, social, creative, cognitive, and physical development, in an environment that fosters active learning, autonomy, freedom, multiculturalism, and a sense of responsibility and order. Programs at Kinderville work to supplement and complement family care in a nurturing environment, which promotes non-sexist, anti-racist, and ethical values.

Standard  Four
Truth, Knowledge and Respect:
All actions by management, educators, other staff and suppliers are truthful, knowledgeable and respectful to all children under our care, their parents and guardians, the community at large.

Standard  Five

Personnel:
Personnel, are competent, adequately qualified to be in the proximity of children under our care and have complied with stringent selection procedures.

Standard  Six

Premises:
Premises are safe, comfortable, welcoming and promote quality care and education meeting Kinderville standards. Premises are accessible by persons with disabilities.

Standard  Seven

Nutrition:
Children receive nutritious meals that take into account health issues and respect family requests and preferences.

Standard  Eight
Special Needs:
Children with special needs are identified and integrated in care and education programs, as appropriate and in a manner that promotes their well-being.

Standard  Nine

Partnership with Parents:
We value teachers and parents as partners in the child's care and education. We recognize that educators and parents consult and collaborate to create for the child a climate of respect, success and joy.

Standard  Ten
Systems, processes, documentation and controls:
Systems, processes, documentation and controls promote and verify compliance with these standards. Appropriate records are retained for a period of five years or more if required by legislation.

Standard  Eleven

Partnership with regulatory bodies:
Standards imposed by regulatory bodies are complied with and exceeded. We partner regulatory bodies to establish industry standards.

Standard  Twelve
Management:
Management is committed to design and deliver children’s care and education services under the most rigorous continuous quality control process. The pride and the prosperity of Kinderville relates to the recognition of its superior quality standards.
